Sachelle Thomas

Pannist

From a tender age, Sachelle has always known what she wanted. While in preschool she wanted to be a pilot, because of her love of the sky and nature but plans changed when her mother exposed her to music at the age of 4.

Her deep passion for music has led her to become a core member of a Steelband in the east where she serves as a tenor, double seconds and six bass player as well as a music theory and steelpan tutor and administrator in the programme. She has participated in every panorama since 2013.

After graduating from St Joseph’s Convent, she continued her studies at St George’s College and is currently a final year student at the Academy for the Performing Arts Campus at the University of Trinidad and Tobago.

She plans to graduate with honours and continue pursuing higher education while and travelling the world playing music and working on multiple music-related projects and collaborations.

In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, going on hikes, writing poetry, painting, cooking, sewing, and composing music.
